District 47

Oklahoma Senate District 47 includes…

Edmond and northwest Oklahoma City. Its boundaries touch Deer Creek, Edmond, Oklahoma City, Piedmont and Putnam City Public Schools. The district is growing as families flock to the area for its close-knit and high-performing school districts. It’s also seen an influx of young people with the addition of many new apartment complexes and retail options. While Senate District 47 has traditionally leaned toward the Republican Party, demographics are changing, and voters have proven their preference for moderate candidates in school board, mayoral, and statewide office holders over the past several elections.

District 47’s current Senator is term-limited. Election day for the district is November 5, 2024.
