Meet Erin

“Typical politicians haven’t gotten us where we need to be, and I know our community deserves a different type of leader. I’m ready to do what’s best for public schools, families and our economy.”

A fifth-generation Oklahoman and long-time resident of the district, Brewer brings experience across the nonprofit, education, and small business sectors.

After a decade in nonprofit work, including several years at United Way of Central Oklahoma, Brewer and her husband opened RedPin Bowling Lounge in Bricktown. As GM, she actively recruited men and women transitioning out of the criminal justice system as employees.

A Strong Community

Brewer has strong community ties having formerly served as the board president for Camp Fire Heart of Oklahoma, on City Care’s capital campaign committee and in volunteer roles at many nonprofit organizations including Putnam City Schools Foundation CareShare program, Sunbeam Family Services and Goodwill of Oklahoma. Brewer lives in Edmond with her husband, Shawn, and their high school-aged children, Declan and Molly. The Brewer kids attend public schools where reduced funding has impacted their educational experience. They are long-time members of Skyline Church.

“Through my advocacy for public school funding and criminal justice reform, I’ve witnessed the ways extreme partisanship hurts our state. Oklahomans deserve better and I’m stepping up to offer a fresh approach where common sense and actually listening to voters come first,” Brewer said.

Brewer is well known for her fierce advocacy on behalf of students and families. She serves on the Regional Educational Laboratory Southwest Governing Board, on the National Association of School Crisis Responders Board and was the founder of Deer Creek’s Parent Legislative Action Committee.
